Grassboots under 13 in the finals

The Grassboots under 13 squad won their game 5:0 today and have secured themselves a place in the final match for the cup this season. Go Grassboots go! We are all very proud and wish them good luck in the final!

Wise words from the Chairman

When we can't teach the youth the true greatness of sportmanship, we are failing them. If our kids taunt and threaten others and we turn the other cheek, we fail them. I am so proud of Darryn Lazarus and his brave Grass Boots team who played like real sportsmen against all the odds!

Please note that all Grassboots teams are playing at our home venue this Saturday. We would like to make use of this opportunity to raise some more funds and so will be running a tuckshop from the "clubhouse" during the games. We would appreciate any assistance in selling the goodies - thanks !
The matches are as follows :
U9 VS TRAMWAY AND CLYDE MEET AT 08H40
U11 VS DURBANVILLE MEET AT 09H10
U13 VS LANSDOWNE MEET AT 09H30
As some of you may also know, a few of us have got together to provide juice and sandwiches, to the less priviledged Grassboots members, for during and after the matches, So far this has been limited to a number of parents of the U11 team. I would like to extend a request for anyone interested in helping with either lifts/food/juice for the other teams, please to let either myself or Stuart know.
